Current Music: Your Love Never Changes – Paul Wright (Fly Away)

I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
This was the line of thinking behind my blog, and has turned into the line of thinking behind my dream, my business. I will be opening a clothing company within the next few years. The great thing about this clothing store is that it is perfect from a marketing perspective. If it was for that reason alone, I know it would be successful. But I know that it will be successful because God deemed it so. When I was working on it the other night I was thinking about all of what would go into it when God said softly, but quite clearly, “Nashville will be the flagship store.” Which tells me that there’s going to be a lot more than my one store.
The unique thing about this clothing store is that there will be an adjacent cafe where my fellow Christian youth can have a place to hang out and relax. They can grab a snack after service and just chill, or they can enjoy free Italian Sodas while teaching a Bible Study. And there will be great performances on the weekend. Warren Barfield will be the first booked musician, he just doesn’t know it yet. From one Pentecostal to another, I’m sure he’d have no problem performing =)
The cafe and the clothing store would be closed on Sundays so we could all be in Church. But afterwards, I’d be right back near the shop, driving around downtown giving goody bags and drinks to Nashville’s homeless. We’d be providing free professional business wear to women looking for jobs. We would just be giving back on a greater scale because it’s called of us. And best of all, a tithe of all the profits would be given to a local church to further that ministry.
Believe me when I tell you that I have most all the details figured out. I even have an investor and I haven’t even wrote the business plan yet. (Don’t worry, it’s all in my head. It’ll be written down by the end of the week.)
So if you’re reading this, please know how serious I am about this. This is the vision that God has entrusted to me and I’m determined to see it prosper. Please pray for me and for this vision that God will be with it from beginning to end. Also that He will place the right people around me to make this dream happen.
